Ronya-Lee LaVaune Anderson Thompson is artistic director of Dancing by the Power Ministries in Mount Rainier, Md. She has taught and studied sacred dance for more than 10 years through workshops, lectures and classes, including the Duke Youth Academy for Christian Formation. Anderson has been a guest artist with Dance for All youth company in Cape Town, South Africa, and has toured with the Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble. She has a master of divinity degree from Duke Divinity School and a bachelor of arts in dance and English from the University of Maryland.
