Sally Hicks joined Duke Divinity School in June 2008. Before that, she worked for six years as a senior writer in Duke University’s Office of News & Communications. She also has worked as a reporter, writer and editor for several newspapers, including The (Raleigh, N.C.) News & Observer and the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times. She has a bachelor’s degree in Classics and English from McGill University and a master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University.
