Brendan J. Barnicle

The Very Rev. Dr. Brendan J. Barnicle is the fourth dean of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, Oregon. Previously, he served as rector of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Wilsonville, Oregon and rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Portland.
Prior to ordination, Barnicle spent 20 years working in investment banking, corporate law, and financial management. He earned a doctorate in practical theology at Claremont School of Theology, a D.Min. from Bexley Seabury Seminary, an M.Div. from Church Divinity School of the Pacific, a Th.M. at the Jesuit School of Theology at Santa Clara University, a J.D. from the University of Washington, and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
