Professor emerita, Asbury Theological Seminary

Christine Pohl is professor emerita of Christian ethics at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, and is known for her work on hospitality, most notably in her 1999 book, “Making Room: Recovering Hospitality as a Christian Tradition.” Her recent books include “Living into Community: Cultivating Practices That Sustain Us” and “Friendship at the Margins: Discovering Mutuality in Service and Mission” (co-authored with Christopher L. Heuertz). She has an M.A. in theological studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in ethics and society from Emory University.
