Former professor emerita, Asbury Theological Seminary

Christine Pohl was professor emerita of Christian ethics at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, and was known for her work on hospitality, most notably in her 1999 book, “Making Room: Recovering Hospitality as a Christian Tradition.” She earned an M.A. in theological studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in ethics and society from Emory University. She died June 5, 2023.
