Ellen Ann Fentress
Ellen Ann Fentress is a writer, filmmaker and teacher in Jackson, Mississippi. Her essays have been published in The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Oxford American and Bitter Southerner. She heads The Academy Stories online project and produced the documentary film “Eyes on Mississippi” about iconic civil rights journalist Bill Minor. Leadership Education at Duke Divinity grants Traditioned Innovation Awards to initiatives that engage in experiments to transform communities by living out the convictions of an ancient faith in the current challenging circumstances. The awardees inspire Christian leaders to consider our convictions and daily activities so that we may more abundantly bear witness to the reign of God.
