Michael O’Loughlin is the national correspondent for America: The Jesuit Review and author of "Hidden Mercy: AIDS, Catholics, and the Untold Stories of Compassion in the Face of Fear." Previously he was a staff writer for The Boston Globe and for the independent news site Crux. He also writes for In All Things, the blog of America magazine; BustedHalo.com; and The Huffington Post.
