Michael J. O'Loughlin is executive editor of the National Catholic Reporter. Prior to that, was the executive director of Outreach, the LGBTQ Catholic organization founded by Jesuit James Joseph Martin Jr. In addition, he was the national correspondent for America: The Jesuit Review and a staff writer for The Boston Globe and for Crux. A graduate of Saint Anselm College and Yale Divinity School, he lives in New England. He is the author of the book “Hidden Mercy: AIDS, Catholics, and the Untold Stories of Compassion in the Face of Fear” and “The Tweetable Pope: A Spiritual Revolution in 140 Characters.”

This growing collection of resources emerged from the National Initiative to Address Economic Challenges Facing Pastoral Leaders, a grant program funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. and hosted by the Center for Congregations. For nearly a decade, organizations in this initiative have been seeking ways to alleviate the financial pressures, improve financial literacy skills and enhance fiscal leadership for pastors and their ministries.
