Yvette R. Blair-Lavallais
Writer, pastor, public theologian and food justice activist
The Rev. Dr. Yvette R. Blair-Lavallais is a writer, editor, pastor, public theologian and food justice activist. She earned an MTS from Perkins School of Theology and a D.Min. at Memphis Theological Seminary.
She has been a Public Voices Fellow of The OpEd Project, a fellow of Vanderbilt Divinity School’s Public Theology and Racial Justice Collaborative cohort, and an academic fellow of Princeton Theological Seminary’s Black Theology and Leadership Institute.
Blair-Lavallais also holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Texas, and has more than 25 years of experience in media, corporate communications, public relations and non-profit work.
