David Toole is associate professor of the practice of theology, ethics, and global health at the Duke Global Health Institute with a joint appointment with the Kenan Institute for Ethics and Duke Divinity School. He works on a variety of projects in East Africa at the intersection of faith-based organizations and the health sector and teaches courses on African health systems and NGOs and on global health systems and policy.
