Deanna Thompson is a professor of religion at the College of Liberal Arts at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn. She is the author of “Crossing the Divide: Luther, Feminism, and the Cross” and the memoir of her experience with cancer, “Hoping for More: Having Cancer, Talking Faith, and Accepting Grace.” Her book, "The Virtual Body of Christ in a Suffering World"  (Abingdon) will be out this fall.

A free toolkit from the “Shifting Ground” initiative, “Let’s Talk About Resources” uses case studies, games and reflective discussion questions to facilitate creative conversations about how congregations can use their resources in service to their local community.
