The Rev. Dr. Debora Jackson is the dean of the Robert A. Foisie School of Business at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. Before that, she served as director of Lifelong Learning at Yale Divinity School; executive director of the Ministers Council of the American Baptist Churches USA; and as senior pastor of the First Baptist Church in Needham, Massachusetts. Jackson is the author of “Spiritual Practices for Effective Leadership: 7 Rs of Sanctuary for Pastors” (Judson, 2015).

She earned a bachelor's degree in business from Indiana University; master's degrees in management and manufacturing engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute; and an M.Div. and doctorate of ministry from Andover Newton Theological School.

The Louisville Institute Pastoral Study Project Grant awards grants of up to $20,000 to support individual or collaborative study projects on Christian life, religious practices and institutions, and ideas for the church, communities or the world. Clergy, lay leaders and staff working in diverse Christian contexts in the United States or Canada are eligible to apply. Deadline is August 1.
