Kory Wilcoxson

Pastor and journalist

The Rev. Dr. Kory Wilcoxson has been senior pastor of Crestwood Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky, since 2009. Prior to coming to Lexington, he served eight years at Community Christian Church in Lincolnshire, Illinois. He has also served churches in Indiana.

Wilcoxson earned his D.Min. at Lexington Theological Seminary and his M.Div. at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. He also holds an M.A. in interpersonal communication from Ohio University and a B.A. in speech communications from Indiana University. He worked as a journalist and college instructor before going into ministry. He and his wife have two daughters.

Applications for the Thomas H. Lake Scholarship are now open! This scholarship supports participants in the Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising (ECRF), a program designed to help religious leaders explore the spirituality of fundraising and gain skills essential for their work. 

Applications will be accepted until Monday, August 3, 2026. Applicants should expect to hear a decision by the end of August.
