Vashti Murphy McKenzie is a bishop in the African Methodist Episcopal Church -- the first female bishop in its history -- and serves in the 13th Episcopal District, which includes Tennessee and Kentucky. She is a member of the President’s Advisory Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
