Rebecca Todd Peters is a professor of religious studies at Elon University and the author of “Trust Women: A Progressive Christian Argument for Reproductive Justice.” She is ordained in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and serves on Planned Parenthood’s Clergy Advocacy Board. She is also a founding member of SACReD (Spiritual Alliance of Communities for Reproductive Dignity) and is vice president of the Society of Christian Ethics.
